Happy Easter!

We've had a great Easter weekend, with far too much food, champagne and chocolate. We have a long weekend, including the Friday and Monday, so I'm sure Roland was thrilled to get back to work today!

Sunday we went to Roland's nephew Kai's christening. Very important as Roland is the godfather. I was very nervous taking all 4 kids as it was at a very formal German church in town, but they were great! I did have to bring the biscuits out at one point to keep them quiet, but for the most part they were great. And half way through all the kids went out - to do an Easter egg hunt. So all in all they had a blast.

We went through to Peter and Desiree (Roland's sister) for lunch afterwards which was great, except that it's a 40 minute drive from Cape Town to Somerset West and Cameron had lost the plot after way too much sugar. So the little cherub screamed the whole way there. He is terrible with sugar and becomes totally irrational, with no chance of negotiation. But he recovered well when we got there and we had a great afternoon. The kids were extra lucky because a little bird had told the Easter bunny to leave some eggs for them there. And it was a very clever Easter bunny, those eggs were seriously well hidden!

We came home via my folks and some more chocolate, to find that our dear bunny friend had been very generous while we were out!

I managed to collect most of the sugar filled goodies and pack them away for a future distribution rate of 1 per week!
