Franschhoek Snow Capped Mountains

With reports of snow on the mountains in Franschhoek, we packed everyone into the car and off we went. It was a really chilly day (for Cape Town that is!) so everyone was wrapped up warm

Franschhoek is a beautiful town about 45 minutes from Cape Town. It is packed with wine farms and top restaurants. There is a gorgeous boutique hotel on the main street, Le Quartier Francais, whose restaurant (The Tasting Room) is in the top 50 restaurants in the world every year. It is amazing for a small town to have so many award winning restaurants and must definitely be the culinary capital of South Africa.

Snow capped mountains at the top of the Franschhoek pass. We had hoped there would be more snow, but it was a fantastic day out anyway!
