We have a Squirrel!

We seem to have adopted a squirrel. Or rather he has adopted us!!!

We have thought for ages that Cadbury, our lazy siamese, has been eating too much. Well last weekend I heard a noise in the kitchen, it sounded like a pot being knocked over. But there was nobody in the kitchen. I went to have a look and saw nothing. Five minutes later I heard another noise, ran through to see a squirrel running out of the window. I didn't think much of it until I walked into the kitchen later to find a squirrel on the counter eating the cat's food.

Well we solved that problem by moving the food, but our resident squirrel was not to be outdone.

On Friday I arrived home at lunch time to find tiny pieces of apple on the windowsill and a large grey squirrel sitting just out of the window with an apple! So we decided it's time to keep all the windows in the kitchen tightly closed.

That's worked until today - when I forgot to shut the window. Sure enough, when I came home after fetching the boys from school, there were a few apples missing, and lots of shredded apple on my windowsill!
